ABOUT ME:

HISTORY

I realize now that to start in Motocross racing at twelve years old is really late.  Once I rode my first bike I knew I had found the ultimate sport.  I have been very fortunate in this sport with placing in races and meeting other racers that have shown an interest in me.  I started on a YZ 85 and began in the Beginner class.  It was only a few months when I was encouraged to ride in the Supermini class.  I found this to be more competitive which is something I strive for.  I soon decided I needed a bigger gike, so I started riding a CRF 150 R.  Being on a bigger bike with more power was a thrill.  I was able to ride with more experienced riders.  I was noticed by Piper Performance Co., who offered to mod my bike with engine and suspension to accomodate my size and make me more competitive.  I was fortunate to be able to practice with some 125 B riders and they convinced me I had enough experiece to ride the 125 C class.  My parents bought me a YZ 250 F.  I practiced and trained with Pro Rider Kerry "Bud" Moore.  I entered the FMF Night Series, 125 C class.  It was the last lap of the first moto when an inexperienced rider, a lap down, lost control of his bike on a jump and landed on top of me. I was Care Flight to the hospital for a spliced spleen.  It has taken over 6 months to heal and be cleared to ride.  My friends call me "No Fear McFadden".  I am back on the bike, training with Bud and racing with even more speed.

GOALS FOR THIS YEAR:

I am a goal oriented person.  It is my goal to enter the National's this year, qualify for Ponca and Lorretta Lynn's.

I decided to be home schooled this year in order to have more time for practice and racing.  My family has supported in this endeavor.  I am on track for my Freshman year and making A's.  I still am able to participate in my local high school activities when I want to.

I achieved the goal as a fourteen year old Eagle Scout and have carried the tradition of my Dad.

COMPETITIVE HIGHLIGHTS:

You might notice a gap in my race schedule. I entered the FMF Night Series, 125 C class.  It was the last lap of the first moto when an inexperienced rider, a lap down, lost control of his bike on a jump and landed on top of me. I was Care Flight to the hospital for a spliced spleen. I was in ICU for three days on surgery watch.  The first thing I said when I came to was "Is the bike ok? and When can I ride?" It has taken over 6 months to heal and be cleared to ride.  My friends call me "No Fear McFadden".  I am back on the bike, training with Bud and racing with even more speed.

I have always been competitive in sports such as football, roller hockey, baseball but those sports are dependent on other players.  In Motocross it is your head, your body and your bike being in tuned together to compete with others for the win,
