HISTORY My name is Braden Skinner and what i love to do the most is ride my bike and hunt. I take my riding seriously I have been racing for almost 9 years now and its mine, my familes, and my best friends lives. We just love to do it. I started racing in Open D where i was doing well and i was trying to start doubling and i broke my wrist i was out for 3 months but i still seemed to finish 2nd in the series. Then i decided to move to 250 C where i did really well my first year i won the FCA national championship in Poole Ky, and also i tried to qualify for Loretta Lynns.I qualified at the area qualifier in Michigan. At the regional qualifier, I crash hard in practice and didn't get to race. After that i had to many points in C class so they moved me to Open B . I placed 5th overall in the MDRA series. This series normally has at least 600 to 700 riders per race.I then ran the Roostin on the River series in Sardis, Ohio at which i took the title as Open B and College Boy Champion. My goal for the 2009 season was to try to qualify for Loretta Lynn's then move up tp the Open A class. But that was not meant to be for 2009. At a race just to get seat time, I was doing a triple triple I hit a kicker and broke both bones in my leg.So there went that season. I spent the 2010 season working my way back which I believe I have managed by maintaining a top 3 finishes in most races. In the 2011 season I again maintained a top 3 in most races. I was the champion in the Roostin' on the River series and was top in points at the OVMX series. In the upcoming the 2012 season, I want to try to fulfill my plans but add a little twist by also going to qualifiers for Ponca City. I also am a mentor to my small cousins who are up and coming in the racing game! GOALS FOR THIS YEAR:
Some of my goals this year are to try to qualify for Ponca City, Loretta Lynn's and move to Open A class. Also i would like to train harder and ride more. COMPETITIVE HIGHLIGHTS: Some of my competitive highlights are winning the FCA National Championship in Kentucky, and winning the Roostin on the River Series in both of my classes, Finishing in the top 5 in the MDRA Series. Also by just being able to compete at this level after a terrible accident.
