HISTORY

My name is Danny Martinez. I've been married since 1993 to my great wife Heidi. We have two children, Zeke & Kelsie. Both of them are teens. I am a partner in a used car dealership in Suffield Ohio, Suffield Motors. I've been in the car business since 1989. I was a high school State Champion Wrestler and state placer two times. I began riding at the late age of 30 and racing at 36. Racing has become an obsession, I really enjoy all the people at the races, the competition.

GOALS FOR THIS YEAR:

I have many goals for 2008 and into the future. First, I would like to repeat my Moto X Faircross Series Championship. I am going to race earlier in the season, to make a better run at the CRA Senior 1 championship. This coming year I'm adding my 13 year old daughter to our team and I would like to help her get a top 10 finish in the womens' class. Other goals include: Continue to build my dealership profile and sell 200 cars for the year.

COMPETITIVE HIGHLIGHTS:

Malvern Motocross 9/29/2007: I was hit hard right before the first turn, pinned in 4th gear, I went down and when I came to my sences, I saw my business partner and fellow racer yelling at me to get going. That particular day was special too, my wife, my dad and my kids who had each brought a friend all had come to watch me. I knew I had to be at my best, I had never disappointed my father in any sport and when your kids have friends watching you, you sure wouln't want to embarass them. I picked my bike up and fired that 250f, cleaned out the clutch and let her rip. I never rode so fast in my life. I felt like Bubba after he wrecks and then just starts passing everyone. I went from dead last, passing 7 people and finishing 5th for the moto and a 5th overall.
