HISTORY I am a 37 year old Sr Business Systems Analyst that loves outdoor sports. After completing my Masters Degree, I found myself longing for the next challenge. This time around, I wanted to do something outside of a classroom. I am specifically interested in off road activities like Harescramble Racing, jet ski racing and trail driving my Jeep. I have always enjoyed motorcycles and in 2004 I started racing our Kansas Harescramble Series. I have two boys that also love to ride and go to the races. My main sponsor, J&S Lawn Irrigation, takes care of transportation and entry fees. We have a 36' Fuzion Toy Hauler that we take to the races. Our pit set up is first class all the way. I am very lucky to have such a great sponsor. We have a very competitive team but our first priority is to have fun. GOALS FOR THIS YEAR:
After finishing the 2007 season with the B class overall championship, my goal is to be a top 7 A class racer in the Forward Motion Harescrambles Championship (FMHSC). I realize this is a pretty tall order considering the fact that I will be a rookie in our highly competitive A class. I have decided to change bike brands and switch back to a 2 stroke to hopefully find some much needed speed. My fitness is solid, I am very maticulous with my equipment, and I am confident on all terrain types. What I will need to succeed in A class is additional speed and the ability to handle the increased intensity. My ultimate goal would be to win one A class race or at least podium. Finally, I want to complete our 14 race season healthy and have a blast doing it! COMPETITIVE HIGHLIGHTS: In 2004 I started racing Harescrambles. After finishing first in my first Beginner Class race, I moved into our C class. I went on to win the FMHSC C class overall championship in 2004.
In 2005/2006 I could not compete due to work/family issues.
In 2007, I raced the entire Forward Motion Harescrambles Championship (FMHSC) in the B class and after 5 wins in 10 rounds, I was the 2007 FMHSC B Class Overall Points Champion.
In 2008, I moved up again into the FMHSC A class. At this point (mid season) I have really surpassed my own expectations. I have 4 second place finishes and I currently lead the A Class points! The class is very hard and the intensity is very high. I hope to keep the ball rolling through the second half of the season.
