ABOUT ME:

HISTORY

My name is Hayden Devier.  I race 50cc 7-8 and 50cc OPEN.  I have raced dirt bikes since I was 5 years old.  My big brother Brandon also races.  Nearly every weekend my Mom, Dad, brother, 2 dogs and I spend the weekend in our camper at a motocross track.  My favorite track is Durhamtown Plantation in Union Point, GA.

In the summer time I spend most of my time away from motocross wakeboarding and playing soccer.

GOALS FOR THIS YEAR:

My goal for the fall of 2009 is to win the championship at Durhamtown and get some races in at other tracks around the southeast in preperation for a LLQ in the spring.

COMPETITIVE HIGHLIGHTS:

My first race was in December 2007 at Strawberry Hill MX in Pelzer, SC.  I was 5 years old on my KTM 50Jr.  I had a blast and was glad to be racing with my big brother.  In 2008 we raced sporadically around South Carolina at Strawberry Hill MX, Parker Valley MX and Cathy's Creek MX.  I went on to finish 2nd in points in the Winter series!

I started racing at Durhamtown in early 2008.  Durhamtown is a massive motocross complex with several tracks and hundreds of miles of trails.  I do a lot of my practice here.  In 2008/spring of 2009 I won the championship in 50cc 4-6 class.

At Chrismas 2008 I moved up to a King Cobra!  Dad promises me a KTM 65cc for Christmas this year.  Despite the fact that I'm only 6 (until November 1st), I can already touch both feet on my brother's 65 and I like riding it when he takes a break at practice.

This season started on September 12th.  So far so good, I've finished 2nd and 3rd in 50 7-8 and 50 Open for race 1 and 2nd and 2nd for race two.  It poured rain for race two.  In my 2nd moto the water was several inches deep on the track and it was raining so hard I could barely see, but I kept it on two wheels and finished 2nd after taking the holeshot in both motos for the day.  They called the races right after my 50cc Open moto due to lightening.  I've been practicing hard hoping to pick up my first 7-8 win soon.  I spent Saturday with Blake Hovis (a local pro) working on cornering and whoops.
