January 24, 2006: A Look at the Past 3 Rounds

Hey everyone, whats up? The past few weeks have been one lesson after another! I have been ironing out the problems and making progress each week. I will be headed to San Fran next weekend and will be looking for a spot on the starting line for the SX Main.

A1: Made the night show pretty easily although I didn't feel the best on the track. The track was really, really technical by the way. I finished a little ways back in my heat race. 13th I think. I holeshot my semi and led for about a lap. I was passed by Jason Thomas and Mike Larocco. Soon after, I made a mistake in the whoops and was picking myself up off the ground. I came back in the LCQ and finished way back after a bad start, 12th I think.

Pheonix: I stalled the bike in the first turn of the pre qualifer after getting the holeshot(on the right side of the split) but charged back to 10th. Top 9 qualified. I won the LCQ. I was feeling good for the night show. Bad start in the heat race and finished a ways back. The semi I was running a few spots back. About 9th or so and worked my way up to 7th, missing the show by 2. The LCQ was not the best either. I had a decent start and was running around 7th. I came up on Doug Dehaan and we entered the with myself taking the same line as he and I stalled the bike in anticipation of him hammering the whoops in which he chose to jump through them. My mistake and it cost me. I got the bike going and passed a few more guys.

A2: 2nd in pre-qualifying. I had a decent start in the heat and was pushed out a few turns later by the pack and finished in 12th I believe. The semi. I started in 3rd or 4th. I was passed by a faster rider(Preston I think) and was the last qualifiing position. Clark was charging up on me and made a pass but only after I made him work for it. I was riding above my head and made a mistake and went through the hay bails. I picked it up and charged again but only passed one rider. LCQ, I was 3rd in the start. Passed a Kawi rider and sat 2nd for a few laps. Gibson pulled up and passed me before the whoops, he soon then made the pass for the lead. I was charging for the last qualifying position but came up just short by finishing third. Although I missed the main event, I still picked up the racer X Gas Card and was honored to receive the award!

I will be back working my heart out doing whatever it takes to acheive my goal: Success and Success Only!

I have surrounded myself by only positive people and it has worked out. I guess what RC always says is right because it sure has been working for me! Thank you for all of your support and I will be doing my best to represent you in a Professional Manner. Thanks again. See ya at the races
