I have been riding dirt bikes since the age of 10 however I only discovered motocross and competitive riding in 2003.
Most of my early dirt bike riding was trail riding with mates in the Victorian alps. My introduction to racing was at Katherine NT when I entered on my enduro bike in a Pony Express just for the social aspect. My partner and I took out 3rd place and from this day on I have been hooked by both the social and competitive sides of the sport. I was an active member of the Katherine Motocross Club where I competed and advanced through the grades, winning a number of club level races in B grade. Eventually I bought my Motocross bike and started attending race meets in Darwin and Kununurra. In 2007 I moved to Darwin where I am an active member and race with both off-road motorcycle clubs. I also still compete in select events at Katherine and Kununurra.
Although I have not been injury free, my smooth riding style has kept me upright and towards the front of the pack for the majority of my racing career.
In the 2009 season I intend to race the full Darwin MX race calendar and attend select race meets in Katherine and Kununurra. I would also like to travel interstate to compete in a race or two. I also hope to be available and able to compete in the Finke Desert race in Alice Springs, and take part in a round of the Masters Games which are held at various locations around Australia.
My main goal is to continue to enjoy riding and encourage others to do the same.
Every ride where I finish, enjoy myself and come away injury free is a good ride.
My most memorable highlights to date are;
2nd in the Clubman Class of the 2006 NT Titles as this was my first race outside my home club and track.
2nd in Pro Lite Class at the 2007 Ord Valley Muster in Kununurra, and qualifying for the 20 lap feature race.
2nd in the Veterans 35+ Class in the Boulderdash 2-day enduro.
3rd in Intemediate Class in the 2008 Club Championship.
