Rider Updates

What a weekend! Attended the Racer X Maine Event at MX207 in Lyman Maine this past weekend ( Sept 16th-17th). First time I've been behind a gate since 2009, and man did it bring back memories. Was moto 23 on the schedule out of 24 for the rotation, so even by first moto the track was bumped up, rutted up, and beat. Absolutely loved being out there regardless the horrific arm pump I suffered. Cannot wait to hit the next event and get behind the gate again. Should be a blast and hopefully keep working the bugs out.

With the weather not cooperating here in New England, we headed south again to Field of Dreams for the weekend in New Jersey. Was able to ride both Saturday and Sunday across their 2 tracks and trails honing in bike skills and adjusting suspension for a better feel. Changing out the stock MX52's to a set of Golden Tyre GT232's the bike handled and cornered like it never has before. Suspension is way more comfortable but still a tiny bit of head shake to it. Just need to keep clicking to fine tune it. Each and every ride I feel more and more comfortable and ready to hit some races this year. Would like to thank those who help me out tremendously with parts and gear! Bring on the season!

After a dry spell of being off the bike due to winter weather in New England, and setting up/vending at all the local racing associations awards banquets. I was finally able to make it down to Field of Dreams in New Jersey yesterday. Had an absolute blast with all my friends and sponsored riders. Jumped 1 out of 2 jumps I didn't clear the first time I was there. Progressed a bit on suspension setup and handling. And finally feeling like my corned speed is coming back quicker and quicker. Was able to hang out there for more than 5 laps fitness wise and felt really comfortable. Cannot wait for the next trip down in a couple weeks!

What better way to ring in the new year than catching some seat time with friends? We took the 5 hour drive down to Field of Dreams in NJ to catch a little off-season seat time. Definitely starting to feel my corner speed coming back more and more. Just need to keep tweaking the suspension to truly dial it in and then the rest should fall in place. Going to start to look into creating my racing schedule for 2017, cannot wait to get back on the gate with the boys.

Bummed the winter is 100% here. Today's weather: -8* with windchill. Looks like its time to tear apart the bike, regrease the bearings, and get it cleaned and ready for showing at the local racing associations' banquets.

Luckily, planning to head south once every 3 weeks to ride in NJ to keep improving on the YZ and truly get my speed back up to par. Definitely doing some racing next year between vending weekends.

Was able to catch some seat time this past weekend on a gorgeous, mid November day here in New England. Probably one of the last days we will 60+ degree weather for the year. Rode at MX23 in Brookfield, MA. Track was a little sloppy in turns but overall in good shape. Good breaking bumps to try and continue to hone my suspension settings in more. Feeling better and better each time I go out with both bike settings and comfort on the bike. Still getting a harsh hit in the front end and using 100% of the fork travel. Going to continue tuning and perfecting the bike for my ride style and continue improving on the bike itself.

For shout outs: the new SG12's are starting to break in a little more. Has to be the most comfortable boot I've put on my feet. Answer gear with the incredibly comfortable fitting pants with EVS Axis Pro knee braces. And lastly Works Connection with the skid plate and radiator guards to protect the essentials on the bike.

Had an awesome day ripping at MX 691. Getting more and more comfortable on the YZ. Still have a little more suspension tuning to perfect the harshness of the forks, but was comfortable enough to send the 100' table top. Going to keep working at it in hopes of getting race ready for the spring time.

Although the track was super soupy mud, I haven't rode this track since 2008. This was the same facility I competed in the Jday event which only utilizes small parts of the track where this open practice was the full moto track. Was a great day working on cornering, ruts, and braking with the new YZ. Definitely felt good on the bike and can feel the quick progression coming back!

So far, had a couple of ride days at a local track. Put about 5 hours seat time on the bike thus far. Can definitely feel that the gym work is helping tons on the track. Was only able to do 4 laps end of last year at about 65-70% speed. I am now up to 75-80% speed and can hold it for about 8 laps. Definitely want to keep improving and moving forward!

Parts are flowing in and the CR is looking damn good! Cannot wait to print the new graphics featuring my 2015 support and take some photos before it gets mud covered!
