Personal History
Hey, I’m Braylon Gray! I am 7 years old from Culleoka, Tennessee, and I race dirt bikes.
When I was just 3 years old, my dad brought home an old Suzuki JR50 on training wheels. I road that bike all over my front yard any chance I got. For my 5th birthday, I got my first Yamaha PW50 and my first set of riding gear and boots. One month later, I raced for the very first time (it was my first time to ever ride on a track at all). My dad and Uncle Tyler had to pick me up a lot at that race. After that first race, I knew I wanted to continue in this sport.
Since that first race a year and a half ago, I have grown and made strides in my skill level. I have raced at many different tracks and skill levels across the United States, I have trained with multiple people, and I have practiced countless hours.
Riding Goals
I have big goals for 2023, including qualifying in to race at Loretta Lynn MX National Championship in August. This has been a dream of mine since I first started racing, and I am ready to give it my all to try to make it.
Another big goal I have for 2023 is to qualify in to race mains at Thor Mini O’s at Gatorback in Florida in November.
I also have a goal to finish overall top 5 at all local race events I attend this year.
Competitive Highlights
In 2021, I raced at Thunder Valley MX Area Qualifier and then qualified and raced at Briarcliff MX Regional Qualifier. I raced the Southern Supercross MX Series all year and received 2nd Place overall for the entire series on my Yamaha PW50. I raced several other races at different tracks with different series through the year and finished all races in top 5 on my Yamaha PW50. I also raced at Thor Mini O’s at Gatorback in Florida in 2021.
In 2022, I raced at three different Loretta Lynn Area Qualifiers and then the Loretta Lynn Regional Qualifiers for each: Southwest, South Central, and Mid-East regions. I raced many local events and many non-local to me in the Southern Supercross, Alabama State MX, and King of the Mountain series. I raced Mini Major East at Monster Mountain in late August. I will also be attending Thor Mini O’s at Gatorback in Florida in November of this year.
