Personal History

I'm a 37 year old father of three enthusiastic racers. I've been dirtbiking for 6 years now, and competing for the last 4. We started riding as a way for the family to do something together, and quickly found racing. We ride just about every weekend (all year long), and have competed in the AMA District 36 cross country series during the 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009 seasons. We are also regulars at local unsanctioned events such as the HHORA 6 Hours of Hollister where I raced in the Ironman class this year.

Riding Goals

  • Compete in the 2010 AMA District 36 Cross Country series, and finish top 3 for the season
  • Compete in the 2010 AMA District 36 Championship Enduro series, and finish in the top 5 for the season.
  • Compete in the 2010 AMA District 36 family Enduro series with my children, and win my class for the season.
  • If I don't make it in the fall 2009 season, finally score enough advancement points to move up from Novice to Intermediate class for both Cross Country & Enduro.

Competitive Highlights

  • First & foremost the all-time greatest moments in competion for me is watching & supporting my children. They represent the future of off-road competition, and I am extremely proud of them and their continuing achievements.
  • For myself, the the two greatest moments (so far!) are:
    • The 2009 Picacho Hare Scramble in Clear Creek: I won the $200 holeshot award, took my first ever second place finish, and got mentioned in Cycle News! Man that was a lot of fun!
    • My very first holeshot at the Rock Hills AMA National hare scramble in Oregon summer 2007.
