Rider Updates

I'm back from Lorettas and I had an awesome time. I feel like I was really prepared this year but I ended up coming down with a bad virus 2 days before I was supposed to leave for tennessee. I spent all day in the hospital and after a lot of blood work they determined I was just dehydrated and had an unknown virus. After taking almost a week off, I went and rode at a track down the road from lorettas and after a 20 minute moto I felt like I was ready to pass out.I think this illness held me back in my first two motos as I felt I didn't have the strenght to push hard the whole time. A pretty nasty get off in my first moto resulted in a trip to the medics and 3 stitches in my chin. When 2nd motos rolled around I was feeling much better and pulled a couple good starts and finished strong. My last fourstroke moto I put in a really solid ride and was running 8th with two laps to go and I fell over in a tight rutted corner and couldn't get out from underneath my bike. I only dropped a few spots and ended up finishing 13th, but I really wanted that top 10 moto finish! Overall it was a fun week, and I walked away with an 18th and 21st overall in the Fourstroke and Motocross A classes. I look forward to going back next year in the prosport classes and proving to everybody that I'm capable of some top 5s.Now starts the preparation for the Texas Pro Challenge in October. I hope to improve on my top 10 finish from last year and get a top 5 this year. I am really going to step my cardio up so I can be ready for the four 30 minute motos we have to do within 5 hours! I am hoping the 09 Kawis will be in by then so I can get my new bikes and get everything on them dialed.
