Personal History
I started riding dirt bikes when I was 11 and absolutely loved it. I took every chance I could to ride and go faster, then I wanted to go faster than my bike was able to (I was on a 125cc then), so I started finding new ways to challenge myself (jumping, dealing with ruts, going through tight areas, and generally pushing my limits), but still did not ride on tracks because my parents were not comfortable with me doing so. I quickly outgrew my 125 and got a 250, at which point I managed to convince my dad to let me ride on tracks. I then spent two years getting more comfortable and faster on tracks, taking new types of jumps (which is still my weakest area–it takes a while for me to get comfortable with new types of jumps), and building confidence. I had my first race in Sterling this year and placed relatively well (10th overall in Open Sport and 23rd in 250C). I plan to race almost every race next year (2015) and hope to do well. I am training on and off the bike to be a better rider for next season.
When I am not riding, I am at school, coding my latest project (this website is one), or working in the IT department at my school.
Riding Goals
I want to compete in every race next season (2015), which will be my second season.
Competitive Highlights
- I finished 10th overall in Open Sport in my first race (with a first lap 2nd moto crash where I was well within the top 10)
- I finished 23rd overall in 250C in my first race (with a red flag on the last lap of moto 1 for almost 3 motos on the day in the class)
