Personal History
My name is Donald. I have a sister that got me into racing when I was the age of 6. I used to play team sports, but decided that being shorter for my age I didn't get to play often, so I would just stick to motocross. I have been racing for 12 years. I try to ride as much as I can at a track. I am usually riding 2-3 times a week at my house.
Growing up, I played baseball and basketball. As I got older, I wanted to try running. I ran until my Junior year in high school, when I broke my collarbone from racing. I decided that i wanted to drift away from school sports and start focusing on more important things. I got a job, where I now work part time, I am constantly doing wither school work or focusing on training for motocross, when I'm not working. Being in college classes and National Honor Society, in my senior year, school takes up a lot of my time, especially having college in mind.
I permanently moved up to big bikes in the 2015 season and quickly noticed a huge improvement in not only my speed, but also my form. I decided to go down to Club Mx in November 2015 to train for a week; coming back home, my corner speed, my form, and my intensity all improved tremendously. I attempted to qualify for Loretta's this year in 250c, but due to bike problems, i was only able to qualify with only one good moto at each qualifier. I plan on qualifying for Loretta's in the 2017 season while i train hard everyday.
Riding Goals
Everyday I am improving. My speed overall is changing for the better. In the 2017 season I plan on qualifying for Loretta's and maybe doing a couple nationals. With my motocross career, I plan on moving to Canada to race professionally there for a couple years when I finish college.
Competitive Highlights
My greatest competitive highlight of my 2013 season was facing injuries. I fractured my distal humorous, tore every muscle and ligament in my forearm, and dislocated my elbow in may and broke my collar bone in September These set me far back in my 2013 season not allowing me to reach my my goals for the season but facing these injuries helped me get over the fear of getting hurt. The 2013 season, was clearly my worst season, being filled with injuries, but that changed in 2015. 2015 season has been my best season yet so far, not including the minor back injury I received from coming up short on a big double. After getting tired of 2nd and 3rd places I had received my first win and plan to receive them more often.
