With the new season upon us the bike is completely repaired from the disaster in Lethrbidge back in February. My leg has also healed and now it is the big wait until the local track is open and i am abl;e to start givin' 'er in fifth gear! A new outlook on riding skills and goals for the season has given me a new mind set on how i am going to go about practicing. New goals for the season include learning how to increase my speed in the corners as well as get a better start off the line and go for the hole shto everytime! I will be racing in the Ladies A class at the home track and competitions and then for the SOAB series; in which i will onyl be attending some of the closer races i will be competing in the Ladies B class as the girls are much more competitive from around the province. Each one wanting to get to provincials and then nationals. i will kepp all of you updated.

So 2009 has not been the best year yet and it is definately not changing at the 15th Annual Alberta Arenacross Championships in Lethbridge. I arrived early on Wednesday night after a very long drive from Calgary. Early on Thursday morning I awoke to a brisk morning and hoped for the best. All morning I sat at the Enmax Center waiting for practices to start. Once they did everything was going well until I hit the massive rockers that span the length of the entire arena. I crashed hard once and on the exit I crashed again and someone landed on top of me. I had to leave the track after another lap and going to brake I realized I no longer had a functional front brake! Exiting the track my ego was hurt as well as my leg and head and my bike needed to get medical attention ASAP! I had a leaky and cracked brake cable connection that gave me no front brake control, my handle bars were all bent and wonky, I was leaking oil, and my shocks were way too tight. A couple minutes after abandoning the bike, a few gentlemen helped me out and I am so thankful for their help. They softened my suspension, fixed a brake cable and gave me some tips. Second practice was a disaster too. I fell hard and smashed my head into the hockey boards. So now I wait for tomorrow when i hope everything will get better with a little lesson from a pro. Luck will reign soon!
Thanks to Arnie for all his help today!

After havein finished second overall in the 2008 WRMA Spring Series, Ladies B event I was forced to move up to a more difficult level sue to my podium placement. In some ways i am a little disappointed with the transition as I am a very competitive person and I do like to win. But lets face it who doesn't? On the other hand I realized that this transition will help me to become a better rider. It will also give riders in the Ladies B class a chance to place.
In the end I think this move will turn out for the better in the long run! Lets hope this Series is a success and will help my abilities to become better!
Good Luck to everyone racing this fall!

Today was the final day of races for the 2008 Spring Series at WRMA. It was the seventh and eight races of the season and they were intense. But nothing could beat the stress and exhileration and determination of the very last race of the series. the Race was so close with myself being first off the start gate but failing to nab the holeshot. I booked it around the track in second position and fighting with another rider in the battle to keep second place for almost two laps. eventually I drove into first place and continued to battle with the other rider to maintain my much deserved position. After a close call around a corner and almost being passed I managed to maintain first place until the checkered flag. I placed first overall for the day having placed second and first in the days races. Before races seven and eight I was sitting in third place in the standings overall. my hard work and dedication to a rough sport paid off and in the end I managed to overtake the original second place rider and beat her in the standing by just a mere point. I've learned that a great sense of sportsmanship and commeradeship is a key to being accepted into the racing community. I enjoy competing with my friends and we all share a healthy competetivness. Thanks you guys for making the Spring Series the best series yet.

During my second race today, May 10th, I had a great start and made it into the middle of the pack. I successfully passed a few riders and realized that I had only one Ladies B rider ahead of me. Unable to catch up to her I found that I had caught up to one of the Ladies A riders, being that Ladies A and Ladies B riders race together. For the last two or three laps we fought it out. For my own benefit I wanted to see if I could beat her, and at one point I did pass her. On the last lap I slid out in a corner and I feel that if I hadn't have fallen in the corner I would have beat her, and I also would not have been passed by the other Ladies B rider behind me. Overall I am very happy with my performance in this race and am pleased with a third place finish.

I did not attend the First RAce of the Series in Raymond due to poor weather conditions and an extremely long work week that left me exhausted and difused. I am looking ofrward to attending the next race in Medicine Hat!

Thank you very much to my very first MX sponsor, Ready Racing. I had never expected to be sponsored so quickly but I am very thankful for the opportunity. I feel that this is a step toward reaching some of my goals for this season. Such as obtaining a sponsor before the end of November. Becasue of this first sponsorship at the beginning of the motocross season I feel that it will help me to work hard and accomplish other short and long term goals that I have. Again I thank Ready Racing for the opportunity!
