Personal History
My Name is Isaac Elliott, im 22 years old and live in Alice Springs, Australia. I have raced motocross since i was 9 years old and have won numerous local and state titles. In April 2007 an accident left me paralyzed from the waist down. Since then my passion for motorcycle racing has only increased as i modified my existing KTM 450 sx-f so that i could ride and compete as before. In November 2007 i became the first Australian rider to compete in a sanctioned motocross race, surprising many riders with my speed and ability to jump every jump on the track. Since this first race back my speed has increased along with my endurance as i competed in the world renowned 2 day Finke Desert Race. And a month later I won a State title surprising even more people with my balls and ability to adapt to a new track and tackle huge jumps. In the future i plan to take my ability to inspire people to a national level and tackle any challenge thrown my way.
Riding Goals
I have three main goals for 2009;
1 - to Backflip
2 - To race the Adaptive class in X-games
3 - To race the Safari in Australia or the Baja in America
Also to improve my overall speed and move up a grade to battle with faster able bodied racers
Competitive Highlights
My favourite competitive highlight is beating Brett Metcalfe's older brother Shane at a regional race over the easter Weekend 2007. This was my last race before my accident. It was memorable because i had little preperation, having been off the bike for two weeks beforehand, and drove the 1400km alone the day before the race. With little support and a stock bike, i put my head down and rode as hard as i could and came away with a moto win against factory backed racers.
