Personal History
I began riding in 1977 on a Yamaha YZ 80. In 1982 I managed to get a top 10 finish in Ponca City Oklahoma. Before I left the sport in 1983, I earned numerous top 5 finishes in the Florida Winter Am's in the 80cc class and 125 cc class.
I took 30 years off and returned to racing with the Sunshine State Vintage MX Club. However, racing vintage bikes was not enough for me and I purchased 2 newer bikes. Since my return to racing in January 2018 I have been competitive in approximately 50 races.
I am now actively competing on a 2018 Yamaha YZ 250f.
I have won 2 national AHRMA races. The first in 2018 at Diamond Don's Riverboat National in Texas on a 1982 Suzuki RM 125. The second AHRMA national race was in Axton, Virginia at Lake Sugar Tree in 2019 on a 2003 Kawasaki KX 125.
I also won the I4MX Championship for the 2019 North Vs. South Series in the 50+ class.
I also placed 3rd in the 2018 & 2nd in 2019 I4MX Mega Series Championships.
Riding Goals
I plan on attending as many races in Florida as possible in 2020. My ultimate goal is to compete at Loretta Lynn's in the future.
