I started riding for fun in 2005. After a few years, i wanted to get into the racing aspect of this sport because of the excitement of the handlebar-to-handlebar riding. Once i felt comfortable and confident that i could do well, i entered my first race in May of 2009 and loved it! I earned 5th place overall at that race in the lites beginner class. Ever since then, i have been practicing and racing as much as i can. Last summer, I attended a 2 day school with Mike Butler Racing Inc. to improve my skills
I want to participate in as many local competitions as i can and work to finish every race in the top 5. I will practice as much and as diligently as i can. I plan to work hard to stay on top of my fitness by training and working out every other day. I also want to stay focused and avoid injury. I plan to get some more training this year. Ive just purchased a newer bike and hope to improve my riding technique.
I have to say placing 5th in a feild of 15 in my first race was an awsome feeling of accomplishment for me and then finishing in the top 5 out of 25 for my step-up into the AMA Lites C Class at Bremen Mx was very satisfying as well.
