Personal History
Born and raised from price, Utah! I grew doing a lot of sports including baseball, football, soccer, motor cross, and my most successful coming from wrestling! My parents divorced when I was two years old! Lived with my dad most my life but got to spend plenty of time with my mother! My mother struggled with addiction for most her life and lost her battle on July 15th, 2010! My dad got remarried in 2009 just a year before my mother passed but not long after I graduated high school and started my first year of college and my step mother was killed in a car wreck! I fell off the rails and into the same path as my mom with addiction for years! It was the only way to deal with the pain of losing two mothers (at least I thought). Lost my scholarship for wrestling at both schools I attended! Couldn't be trusted by anyone and I would go to any lengths to get whag I wanted! Troublemaker you may say! Problem child! I was at a very low place in my life but many years later I had a son and decided it was time to fix my pain! 2 years later I'm two years sober, 50 pounds less, and a lot more focused on achieving my goals! Started getting back on the bike last year! Had 2 Chinese 125 pitbikes that were okay! Jumped up to my YCF Daytona 190 pitbike and started racing! My first race I learned I needed to use both brakes coming into turns! Crashed out of my first race and had to fix my bike a little! Second race I was ahead learning to use my brakes this time on turns! Came down after lap 5 and got passed by three! Ended up trying to chase for the last 2 laps and almost got on the podium but finished fourth! My third race, which was the last race of the winter series back in February, I got on top of the podium! I was also clearing jumps that I wouldn't of touched the first race and maybe even the second race! I'm a quick learner and I love to ride and let my pain go out when I turn that throttle!
Riding Goals
I've found that my passion has switched from wrestling to motocross! But what hasn't changed is my desire and passion to always reach that next level! Riding has been a big stress reliever and pain killer! My number is 308! That's the room number my mother passed away in when she overdosed! I ride for her!
- This year I want to be able to start being more comfortable with my jumping and landing! Learning brake taping and throttle control through any kind of rhythms! Reaching that next level of being more comfortable and sustainable on my bike! Including my suspension which has gave me problems for a long time now but I just got it adjusted!
- Increasing stamina by working out and learning to ways to workout my arms for arm pump so I'm not getting tired early on! Focusing on techniques that will help eliminate those barricades in the race!
- Watching film and studying what I can do better after racing! Going back home and focusing on the highs and mistakes of how I race but focusing on the mistakes more! Watching videos of instructors with major techniques that will help me perform more confidently and consistently!
Competitive Highlights
Wrestling was most successful sport of my life and with that came a lot of traveling and late hours in practice rooms! Literally have covered almost every state because of wrestling! Blood, sweat, and tears lead me to multiple state titles in all 3 styles of wrestling as a kid! As a high schooler I was 4th my sophomore year and ended up as a 4A state champion my junior and senior year! I placed 4th at the Greco-roman world team trials! I was ranked No. 3 in the country in Greco my junior and senior year! I placed 3rd at Greco roman nationals both years and it was located in Fargo, ND! Since I started racing my first two races I didn't podium! My third race I was able to walk away with a first and a second!
