This year has been awesome though the track I race at might have to be shutting down :( But that's ok because I have finally won the women's championship!! :) My season isn't over yet due to a lot of rain here in Maine this year but I have won all 5 races so far and have earned a 46 point lead. College is going great I did well my first year and now am a month in to second. I will be doing as much of the Maine Motocross Series as I can next season but money is tight and college comes first :) And I upgraded from my Honda 2004 Crf250r to an 2007 Honda Crf250r way better :) I now own 6 dirt bikes 4 of which are Hondas :) I love Honda

What a rookie season I had! To start the season off we had just moved and I missed the first 4 races. Which didnt bother me to begin with since I only planed on racing 1 or 2 races to get the feel for racing. But to my surprise that all changed. After my 1st race taking a second for the day, I was super pumped. But feeling down that I would be lucky to only rac 1 more in the season. That all changed after emailing my top competion Connie a racer of 23 yrs. I didnt know that women could race for their own championship since I was very new to racing, since I'm the only one in my entire family. Well Connie quickly brought me up too speed. Even though 4 races had already come and gone I could still contend for 2nd and 3rd in the championship, since in Maine, women racers are very incosistant. Out of the whole state there it only about 10 racers and most dont do more then 1 or 2 races like I was going to. After a 10 min. talk wit dad we dcided to spend the extra money which we really didnt have, and race the rest of the season. I worked as hard as i could for the last 3 months not missing a single practice twice a week, and being there for the remaining 5 races. My big prize... a 2nd in the overall championship!! If I may say so myself it was one heck of a seaon, and next yr will be even better! As me and dad have already been working hard to make the full season :)

So finally after 4 long yrs I entered and completed my first mx race. The day could not have gone better for me! Just the night before it poured like crazy and only 1 other woman would ride in the mud. So I started off the day with a 2nd place overall and all I had to do was finish the 2 motos in one piece. The first moto was 3 inches of mud and no traction at all, I thought the woman I was racing would lap me like 5 times but she only beat me by half a lap. This being one of the best women riders in Maine. By the second moto I was chomping at the bit to get going after a 4 hour wait in between motos. I was so hyped up and ready to fly when just off the gate my shifter got jammed in neutral. The track had changed compltely to hard packed, dry, really rutted and still muddy in the corners. But through it all I made it for a steady 2nd place finish and didn't fall over or cash once. Even though there was only 2 of us I say my first race couldnt have gone better I wasnt under any pressure to win or even place I just had to survive and I did.

Two weeks ago today my dad bought me the bike i have wanted for going on 3 years. A brand new 2007 honda crf150r race bike. And to my complete shock it turns out it wants to eat me alive lol. I knew that it was going to be a peppy bike but it was way beyong what I ever imagined. To the point that the first time i rode it I crashed on a short strech of pavement and ended up with some nasty buises lol. I love my new race bike!
