Rider Updates

Dec 1 2008

I showed up to Mesquite, Nevada I wasnt feeling to confident. I have had some major injuries from that track that screwed up the whole 2007 season for me. Also I wasnt training as much, also i heard alot of fast riders were gunna be there. But the Thanksgiving national actually ended up as a great weekend! For the important part for me, I stayed healthy and left with no injuries. Plus I ended up 2nd overall in my 125 intermediate class, and 4th overall in my open class. I felt pretty good about that, just cause it was my first race in a few months. Im now looking forward to riding more and still pushing myself to the limit.

I've started a new training program for me. I am doing cardio workouts every day for about 45 minutes. I run a mile of bleacher laps, then do sprints after. Every other day I do small weight lifting. Then i alternate days between cardio and small weights to cardio and heavy weights. So far this has worked good and I've stuck to it.

This season, 2008. I have had a rough season, I have had a lot of injuries. On Thanksgiving of 2007 I was racing at Mesquite, NV. I crashed during practice trying to cut down lap times on their downhill. I broke my collar bone, bruised and punctured lunges. Including a concussion. Later that season, I went back to Mesquite early from my injuries. My collar bone wasn't fully healed. I crashed and broke it again. Then later that season again... I was attempting to qualify for Ponca City, OK. Again i went to early.. I broke my collar bone again. I have been racing the end of the season, using it as practice and trying to catch up to where i would have been. So far I am healthy and training hard. I recently got back from Huntington, UT. Where Donnie Hansen had a motocross academy. He really helped me in my corners and everywhere in the track. I will keep pushing myself to where i should be. My plans were to move up to local pro at the start of next season. Hopefully I will be able to accomplish that goal.
