Personal History

My name is Kristopher Chance Wendlandt, but I go by Chance. I've been riding dirt bikes since I was 3 and 1/2 years old, with my dad by my side, and have progressed with time and age. As I grew older and faster I had the opportunity to sign with thousand oaks yamaha, but two weeks before signing I was injured in a motorcross accident breaking my ankle. I could not ride nor could I race so my contract fell through. I was heartbroken and couldn't wait till my ankle healed so I could ride again. Once my ankle healed seven months later my family and I fell upon hard times so I had to sell my bike. I then changed my focus to school and getting a job. Once I got a job I started saving money to get a street bike. I thought myself how to stunt and participated in many stunt shows around southwest Missouri. A couple years ago I sold my street bike and bought a 2010 Yamaha 450. I was so filled with joy the first person to find out was my dad! He was so excited for me that he bought my nephew a crf50 and we set off for the races. It seemed as if I picked back up where I left off. I qualified for Ponca City, I won the Spring Series in Missouri, and first place in the fall series. Last year my dad, my nephew, and myself went to River Bottom mx to practice. My dad and nephew started on the track while I was still getting suited up. Once I was ready I hit the dirt with full force. As I cleared jump after jump I noticed I hadn't seen my dad or nephew and as I turned the corner I saw the most horrific thing a guy my age wants to see. I saw my dad laying on the ground not breathing. Later I found out he had passed due to a pulmonary embolism. That was the worse day of my life or so I thought. I took some time off racing once my dad passed because that was what we did together. So I've took time off an I'm ready to get back out there an pick up where I left off, as I've been riding and working out to race shape an I'm faster then I ever have been. And I'm planning to go to as many big races as financially possibly, that's why I could use as much help as I can. And would be so grateful to get back out there to the sport I love that's been a part of all my life! So wanna send a big thank you in advance an hope so much to be working with you an god bless!

Riding Goals

I would like to race more national events next year such as Ponca City, Mo State series, and the Mini O's, Freestone, Loretta Lynn's qualifiers an as many more as I can. An I'll add them as I know more but those are a for sure deal.

Competitive Highlights

I won the spring series in southwest Missouri, I finished in the top five in the Missouri State series in intermediate and first in Mo fall series.
