Personal History

I have been riding dirt bikes sense I was 5, I have always loved riding around our farm, in the hills, and at our track at home. I remember when I was just learning how to ride on my little 50, I was riding around our yard with my dad trying to figure it all out, my dad let go and I grabbed the throttle, I didn’t know how to stop until I hit our boat. I hit the boat so hard my boots went flying off my feet in both directions. I come from a family of 7, I have 3 younger sisters and 1 older brother. My brother is the reason I started racing, he started racing about 5-6 years ago. I thought I wanted to play college volleyball up until about 2 years ago, that dream quickly changed. After years of following my brother around going to races, I started to gain interest in racing for myself. There was an open practice at our local race track one weekend, I had been debating on going for a while I finally said the heck with it and loaded up my gear. I started out on a 250, I did one open practice on it and decided to take it racing the next weekend, that weekend I quickly realized racing was a lot harder than I thought and the ruts felt 10x bigger than the ones I was practicing on. After the race we decided to switch me to an 85 big wheel to better fit me so I can actually control the bike on the track. A couple months later we went to a race in Boise, this track was built on a hill and there was one corner that didn’t have fencing to stop u from going over the edge…well during my racing I missed a gear and still tried to hit the jump, I ended up whisky throttling and hitting the berm like a jump to a 40-foot drop… I ended up only breaking one bone in my foot and was out for 6 months. 6 months later I knew I wanted to come back swinging, my first full year back with lots of hard work and training, I won my 85-beginner championship and qualified for Loretta Lynn’s and got 20th my first day at Loretta’s but ended up 38th overall, which I’m alright with considering it was my first year. this is the beginning of my 2nd year racing and I’m hoping to get top 15 at Loretta’s. like I said my dreams quickly changed from volleyball…to now wanting to win a race at Loretta Lynn’s.

Riding Goals

I want to be able to cut a couple seconds off of my lap times and improve more each weekend that I’m racing.
I want to win an AMA title.
I want to get top 3 in my women’s class in the championship.
I want to hit more nationals this year.
I want to get better and faster on my 125 just like I am with my 85.
And constantly work to get better each day.
