About Me

I started riding on a toy. A razor electric dirt bike. I was 2 when I got it and my dad added training wheels so I could ride. He adjusted the training wheels up higher and higher until they weren’t ever hitting the ground so we took them off. He...

Rider Updates

Decided to take a break this weekend from motocross and went out on the trails with my dad and grandfather. We had a blast taking on all types of terrain. Mud, mud holes, logs, loose dirt, hard pack, big rocks, little rocks, and even shale. We rode for hours before we ended up so soaked that we decided it was time to pack it in. On the way out, I decided to ride my dads KX450 annnddddd I put it down for the first time. I saw some taller grass up ahead and could see on each side of it so I didn’t think anything about it but I should have slowed down. It was a massive hole. Right in the middle of the path I was on and I had no idea it was there. When I saw it I did the only thing I had time for and threw the gas to it. I floated the front tire over it but when the rear tire hit, and that heavy suspension compressed, it shot the rear end up and to the side like a rocket. I’ve never seen my dad so panicked after I’ve went down before. He helped me up and checked me out. I’m banged up but nothing serious. I overheard my grandfather talking to my mom though after we got home. He said the bike flipped multiple times in the air one direction and I flipped multiple times in the air the other direction. I also heard him say that when I wrecked, my dad yelled “Oh no, He’s broken to pieces”.  That explains the panicked look. Luckily all I really got out of it is a lesson and a story. After a little ice and a lot of relaxing, I’m still sore but plan to get back on my bike this afternoon and work out some of the soreness. It definitely won’t be my dads 450….it’s gonna need some work(several plastics broken, handlebars bent, riser mounts bent, the forks, I hope, are just twisted, and we haven’t even gotten into it yet) I have training with Tim Ferry day after tomorrow at Dodge City MX so I need all the soreness gone by then. I will update after the training to let everyone know how it went. [Post
