Personal History

In my life i have been surrounded by sports. I have always loved playing sports and i have played many different ones such as baseball and soccer. But my most constant sports have been hockey and dirtbiking. I started when i was only 5 years old when my grandpa got my very first bike, a little Yamaha PW80.  Bikes have been in my families lives  becuase of my grandpa. He introduced bikes to my dad and they both brought them into mine and my sisters. My eldest sister races along side me and my middle sister plays fastpitch, so as you can see, sports are a big part of all of our lives. Both my parents are involved differently in my life, my mom takes care of more hockey expenses while my dad takes care of all motocross related items by himself. My dad is still very supportive of my hockey and is there for all of my games as well.

Having two sisters can cause alot of problems especially when they are five and seven years older than me. They are still very supportive of my  dreams and encourage me in any area that they can. Sometimes they can be hard on me but i know its becuase they know i can go places with my abilities. So I say that i have a great family when it comes to helping me reach my goals and i know they will always encourage me.

Riding Goals

In my up and coming season I have had to step up my game a little. Two years ago, i started my National career so this year i have pushed myself so i can fulfill my desire of becoming a top ten contender in the Women's Pro Class for Western Canada.

Two years ago, unexpectedly, i attended the last two races of the three Nationals for Women's. I did not plan to start until 2013 but our races collided and i discovered that i could receive my best finish of 12th place. This giving me the courage to work harder and pursue my dreams. In 2013 i raced all three rounds of Woman's Nationals and had a best finish of 9th. This showing me that i am a top ten contender, i am pushing even harder. I am on a training schedule everyday working towards my goal. I cannot wait to see what the 2014 year will bring!

When i ride, i just feel free. It lets me relax and clear my head. Whenever i am having struggles i can always rely on my dirt bike to let me calm down and ease out of the world. I'm just released once i feel the bike. So many people ask me why ride, its so risky. i have a simple answer for them, why not? i rather die doing something I know i love than any other way. You can die from absolutely anything so why not live while you can. I ride because i need to.
