Personal History

My name is Wade Lockamy and I am a 10 year old dirt bike rider.  I have been racing for three years.  In 2019, I did Hare Scrambles and a few MX events. Spring of 2020, I went to a dirt track and immediately loved flat track racing! My motto is "roll it and hold it" and sliding in the turns is my passion! I still like to hit the woods for some Hare Scrambles and play on the MX track, also. For 2024, I will be focusing on Motocross. I have completed three races, working my way from the bottom half to the top half, and placing higher at each race!  I am doing training camps and private lessons to learn the fundamentals of MX to what I already know from flat track. I think it will all come together nicely in 2024!

Riding Goals

Growing up in rural North Carolina, I ride several times a week at home.  My mom and dad ride, too!  We are on the road almost every weekend - whether practicing flat track, trail riding or putting in a few laps on the motocross track. I like to practice balance and braking skills and I hope to keep getting stronger as a rider and keep building relationships with my fellow racers.  I think it is really neat that I get to know kids from all over the country from racing with them!

Competitive Highlights

2020 was my first year flat track racing.  I did the Southeast Flat Track series and finished 2nd in the 50cc 4-stroke class for the season.  I did several other flat track races in Virginia, Tennessee and South Carolina.  I was happy that I made the podium in every event that I raced for 2020.

In 2021, I finished the Southeast FT series with a 1st in 50cc, a 1st in 70-125cc, and a 2nd in 65cc.  I also raced RVA in Virginia, where I finished 2nd in 50cc and a close 4th in 65cc.  I had the opportunity to go to Loretta Lynn's and race the 50cc class, where I brought home the win!  I also did the Winter Olympics in Traveler's Rest SC, where I placed 3rd in 50cc and 65cc. I also did a Moto Anatomy training clinic with pro rider Johnny Lewis where I learned so much!

In 2022,  I finished in the Southeast FT series with a 1st in 50cc, 2nd in 65cc and 3rd in 70-125cc.  I started riding my KX85 and feel really comfortable on it.  Ready to practice over the next few months and start the winter series in January 2023. This year I will be aboard my KX65 and KX85.
