Personal History
My name is Rayce Pippin and I live in Hixson, Tennessee with my Mom and Dad and big sister. I attend Alpine Crest Elementary where I am in the second grade and I am an honor roll student there. I enjoy off-roading with my family and going to the lake and riding jet-ski's, but my love is definetly moto-cross racing. My Dad and granddad both raced dirt late model racecars for over twenty years each so I have racing in the blood. My Dad prepares my bikes to race each week and my Mom takes care of my gear and also makes sure I have plenty of fluids to drink at the track and food to eat and I stay hydrated. I started riding my first dirtbike, a Yamaha ttr-50 when I was 3 years old and started riding four-wheelers when I was 4 years old. I began my racing career last year at the age of six where I raced numerous indoor arena-cross races throughout the state of Alabama. I first began racing on a Honda XR50 and after winning nine race's in fifteen starts my Dad moved me up to a 2015 Cobra 50 Jr. where I have won 9 races in 14 starts. I am very lucky to have my family behind me at the racetrack each week helping me compete and succeed. I am very lucky to have Mr. Kevin Rentzell as a riding coach and mentor to my racing, Kevin is a good friend of my Dad's and a former 21 time WERA National road-racing champion and 1989 Daytona 200 podium finisher, he travels with us at times and gives me advice on riding technique and bike set-up.
Riding Goals
My goals for 2016-2017 are to compete a full schedule at my local home track and also travel to different AMA racing events to get more experience racing on different tracks and against different competition. I hope to move up to a 2016 King Cobra 50 in a month or so and compete in both 50cc stock and open classes on both bikes. I am currently listed second in points at my local track, but I missed the first four races of the season there due to racing at a different track in other class where I was the points leader in both classes at that time. I decided to move to a different track due to being able to race with more competitive bikes and race more classes each night. My goal for 2017 is to qualify for Loretta Lynn's Nationals and also compete at Daytona Supercross in 2017 if things work out as planned.
