Personal History

Hi, my name is RIley Youngman. I'm 23 years old and have been racing dirt bikes for a year. although I have only been racing for one year I have been riding for about 4 now. I started out woods riding with a 2007 KTM 250 XC-W 2-stroke. The first time I hopped on a dirt bike like many people I fell in love with them. I wanted to know everything about them. that year I started watching Supercross and Motocross. I still remember watching them for the first time and thinking, "there is no way I will ever do any of this. well, it happened to play out that I found the confidence to jump, and here I am years later in love with racing my dirt bike. About 2 1/2 years ago I was in a car crash and broke my lower back I wasn't able to be on the bike for 6 months and it was really tough for me. so after I got back on the bike I turned all my focus to Motocross. I wanted to Jump in and learn how the guys were doing things in the air from scrubbing to brake tapping. The Lord has blessed me with the ability to continue to ride and for that, I am so thankful I told myself that I going to take this upcoming year seriously and do my best to be competitive.

Riding Goals

My goals for this upcoming season are to qualify for Loretta Lynns. if I fall short of this goal I am going to continue to push and race as many races as I can make it to continue to work hard and be competitive. I want to get better control of the bike so that I can be a safe rider. and I want to work hard to make this passion of mine into a career. I don't think that being a professional dirt bike racer is in the cards for me but if I can spend the majority of my time doing what I love then I will be so happy.

Competitive Highlights

So far my competitive highlights are not that noteworthy my first two races were decided at the start and were not great, but this last race of mine at RedBud Vetfest was one of the best moments I've ever had. I had a halfway-decent start and the race wasn't over right away. I was able to move through the pack and pick guys off doing things that felt amazing riding with a confidence that was so addicting. it didn't feel like I was just out there riding it felt like I was in a pro race battling and that feeling is something that I can see myself chasing for a long time.
