Personal History
I am a male living in the state of Hawaii right now. I have been a rider since I was 6 years old and still ride to live. I have been all over the world travelling from Africa to the Caribbean to Hawaii to South America. I am 31 years old and have never felt more healthy in my life.
I have been racing and riding motorcycles alot recently having a blast. Nothing feels better than railing the trails fast, flowing from one turn to the next.
Riding Goals
This coming year is all about improving on what has been happening in 2008. Racing, Training, and having fun. I have improved leaps and bounds since my focus has been on motorcycles and riding. I am learning my machines better and how to ride them is second nature.
Next year I will be amping to compete in the the select events regionally. My goals are to beat 4th, and repeat 1sts.
Stretching and body conditioning is more important.
If conditions present themselves, I would love to go to the mainland to see and experience a race there.
Competitive Highlights
This year I entered the Mauna Kea 200 for the first time. I did not know what to expect, so I went there with the attitude to have fun and do the best I can. It worked because I had a great time the results were pretty good. I know if I have fun but focus more on performance I can do better than 4th place overall. Out of 100+ riders 4th was an excellent showing for a first time appearance.
Over Labor day, I competed in the 54th annual Kauai Motocross Associtations Hare & Hound Race. This race is notorious for brutalizing its entrants with non stop technical terrain that goes on and on. Not for the faint hearted, this event will test every bit of abilty a rider has. I checked the event out last year and raced the B class just to check it out. This year I went with a mission. 1. To race the A class. 2. To finish 3. To Have fun. I was able to finish the race with a time of 4 hours and 58 minutes, and 3 gas checks later. Only 20 people finished out of 100+ entrants. half of those finishing were on cheater trials bikes! :) I was very happy to win the open class. It was a rewarding experience.
