Rider Updates

I ended up with a broken fiblua at the Chanute Race 8/28, my foot came between a tree and the bike, let's just say the tree won! My Gaerne boots did the trick, they held everything in place and minimized the tissue damage/swelling. I actually rode another 1 1/4 miles before having to stop. The break was clean, and healing up well.
One of my original goals for this year was to run in a faster class and end up with a top 10 overall finish in that class for the year. This is still on the table, I ended up missing 3 races in the series but am still currently sitting in 7th, with 2 races to go. It has been 7 long weeks since the injury, my leg is feeling great and I am racing the final 2 rounds! Going to do everything I can to finish the season strong and put a great looking plaque on the wall. Wish me luck!
