Personal History

My name is Skylar Belcher I am 13 years old. I became interested in motocross because my dad raced for 20 years and got to be in a few fox movies. I would always er so happy to hear his stories and I always wanted to race because my dad and I still want to be pro. I may not be the best rider including that I only rode for 4 months I still work as much as I can no matter what and even if I crash in a race I know it is not over till I jump that finish line jump with a checkered flag. I always go riding with my friends and use them to work myself to make me faster. I currently have 2 sponsors and they are Works Connection and Lamson Motorsports. My favorite type of gear is fox.

Riding Goals

As I said earlier I want to ride because my dad and also it is the most amazing thing to me to dirtbike. No one will understNd until they ride. My goal is to train as much as I can this year and make it to mammoth next year. I'm hoping omg 2 years I can make it to Loretta lynns. Another goal is to be sponsored by fox and many others. I am gonna work my butt off to achieve these goals and who knows where else I will go at the end.

Competitive Highlights

One highlight for me is that my goal for my first race was to not get last I didn't care about winning I just wanted to have as much fun as I could with my friends and try to not get last and I was able to achieve that. Also this may not be a dirtbike achievement but right now I am in 8th grade and last year in 7th grade I really struggled with school and my goal was to make sure that I did good this year and now currently I have 5 A's and 1 B+. Now back to dirtbikes at one of my races I was really focused on beating my friend and I was ahead of him but 2 jumps away from the finish line on the last lap I went over the bars and had a bad crash and he passed me. I was hurting really bad but my goal changed right there and that was to cross that finfishline and I did and I was in tears but I was happy I was able to finish the race.
