Personal History

Hi my name is Tallan Smith and I am 17 years old. I've been riding since I was 6 years old. I did very well on 50's and 65's. I won multiple Oklahoma and Kansas State Series. At the end on my 65 career I had a few bad crashes which resulted in broken bones. After the healing of one broken bone I had another bad crash that made a new broken bone. So I took a break and explored other sports. None of the sports I tried never clicked and didn't grab my attention like motorcross.  I came back to motorcross and been riding since. I'm now on a KTM 250 SX-F and a KTM SX. This year I've raced many local and out of state races. I raced the Branson National this year, placing 7th and 8th overall. And also the Ponca City Fall Classic and placed 2nd overall in both classes. Now I'm getting ready for the spring Oak Hill National and the JS7 Freestone National and my main priority is qualifying and racing at Loretta Lynn's.

Riding Goals

My goals for this year are to get better each and every day as a rider and a person. Also to place top 5 in all the nationals I go to and quialify for Loretta Lynn's. At all races I wan't to be consistent throughout the weekend with strong overall finishes. I really feel like with the amount of effort, hard work, and dedication to this sport, I feel like this year is the year for me to strive and make a name for myself. I'm a hard worker and will do whatever it takes to get the job done.
