Personal History
I'm 56 years old and after a 20 year layoff from riding I pick it up again about 15 years ago. I started racing 6 years ago at the urging of my fellow club members as I have never raced before and always wanted try it. Well after my first race I was hooked. I am going into my fourth season starting in January and look forward to a fun season riding and racing with friends. I am married and have one daughter who as ridden a little and is getting back into it as well since she finished with school and working. I work full time for a local government. I love to ride as it lets me forget the real world for a time and just enjoy myself riding my fellow club members and friends. The racing part is icing on the cake as I get to challenge myself, race against other competitors, enjoy the camaraderie, and the family environment that racing provides.
Riding Goals
My goal this season is to win the Arizona AMA State Championship in the 50+C(novice) class. If I can win the class this year then I can move up to the 50+ B class and race a tougher class with more difficult challenges.
Competitive Highlights
In my first season racing, 2017, I finished third overall for the season in the 50+C class. The 2018 season I finished fourth overall in the 50+c class just 10 points from a podium overall.
