Personal History
My name is Zach Nino and I am currently an 11 year old amateur motocross rider from Lake Tapps, WA. I have been involved in motorsports since I was 5 years old. I got my first dirtbike when I was 4, but decided that go karts were more fun. I raced karts until I was 8 years old, competing locally at Puget Sound Go Kart Association’s local track in Elk Plain, Wa, as well as regionally. I was able to race in Washington, Oregon, Canada, and Idaho. I decided to “retire” from kart racing and focus on regular sports for a year, and then my dad picked me up a vintage Honda CR60 dirtbike and I quickly realized what I was missing.
I progressed to a Kawasaki KX65 and began riding local tracks in the winter of 2011-2012. I raced a few Mudslingers races and a few at Riverdale Raceways just to get my feet wet. I then moved up to a KX85 in April of 2012 and began to compete consistently in the fall of 2012.
My family has been extremely supportive of my racing and I truly love the sport. Although I have not been racing as long as many other kids, I have progressed faster than I thought I would and am now racing as much as I can, and have a full schedule of races this winter and next year. I look forward to growing in the sport and pride myself in having a strong work ethic, being a student of the sport trying to learn as much as possible, a respectful yet competitive rider, and a loyal person. I am hoping to receive rider support this year to help improve my riding and move forward in my racing endeavors. Thank you for considering my application. Riding Goals
To continue to improve my riding skills this year and to compete at in the 9-11 junior class in both 85s and also in Supermini. My overall goal is to stay healthy and to progress with higher placed finishes.
